Terms of use
Last updated 7/28/2026.
By using KIND, you agree to a few simple points. We'll keep this short.
KIND is a pilot.
We are early. We are testing the questionnaire, the matching, and the experience itself with a small group of members who want to help shape what KIND becomes. By using KIND, you understand this is an experiment. Matches may not always be perfect, features may change, and you take part voluntarily and at your own risk. KIND, its team, and its founder are not legally responsible for what happens between you and the people you are introduced to, online or in person. If that's not for you, that's completely okay. Then, please don't sign up yet.
What KIND is
KIND is a community for real friendship. The app is the way in. It is not a dating app. Anyone is welcome here. You choose which genders you'd like to be matched with for friendship, and we only introduce you to people whose preferences also include you. Romantic or sexual approaches on KIND are not allowed and may lead to your account being removed.
How you'll show up
- Be kind. No harassment, hate, or unwanted romantic / sexual advances. KIND is not a dating app.
- Be honest in your answers — they are the entire basis of who you'll be matched with.
- Don't impersonate other people, and don't sign up on someone else's behalf.
- You must be 18 or older.
Meeting in person
Before meeting up, we encourage you to have a brief video call to see if you get on. Any meetup is between you and the other person. Use your judgment — meet in public, tell a friend where you're going, and trust your instincts. KIND introduces you, but we are not responsible for what happens after.
Limitation of liability
KIND is offered "as is" during the pilot. To the fullest extent allowed by law, KIND, its founder, team and partners are not liable for any direct or indirect harm, loss, or damage arising from your use of the app, the introductions we make, conversations on or off the platform, or anything that happens when you meet another member in person. You use KIND voluntarily and at your own risk.
Removing accounts
We can pause or remove accounts that break these terms or that make other members feel unsafe. You can delete your own account at any time by emailing hi@kindfeelknown.org.
Changes
We may update these terms as KIND grows. If anything material changes, we'll let you know in the app or by email.
